The title of this post pretty much sums up our Saturday. The three of us spent almost all day outside enjoying the beautiful weather.
This morning (well actually last night) Isabelle had requested to go to a park to play and have a picnic. So that is just what we did. We went to a park in Grimes that surprisingly we had never taken her too before and she thought it was the best. She had so much fun!
Isabelle really loved running around and playing in the three sand volleyball courts they had. While she pretended it was a big sandbox, Kevin and I pretended we were at Caribbean Beach resort in Disney World! :) (Only 2 short months though!)
We then had a picnic lunch.....I don't know why we don't do this more often. It's simple, fun, and gives Isabelle more playtime!
There were a little...actually more like a lot......of tears when we told her it was time to go home and nap after at least two hours there. She did NOT want to go. Who can blame her though. But with her being sick we knew she needed a nap whether she thought so or not. :)
Mommy knows best.....she was exhausted! :) She fell right asleep but somehow only managed to nap for 40 minutes before waking up saying "Play outside mommy". Who can resist? :)
So back outside we went until dinner. I took this picture of one of our bushes just to show how amazing this weather we have been having is. I can't believe this bush is in full bloom in March!
Anyways...we did lots of playing outside again. And if you pay attention you will notice Isabelle's change in clothes several times. This is due to her pouring water on herself from her water table and then immediately saying "Oh no mommy" and wanting new clothes. :)
After dinner we went to Heavenly Delights down the street to get ice cream. Isabelle picked out chocolate brownie extreme. She ate every last bite and even sucked the melted part down with a straw. :)
She is now sound asleep and I pray she gets a good nights sleep and finally can get over this horrible cough. Last night she woke up coughing at 1:15 and was up saying her throat hurt until 2:30 and then decided she wanted to sit in bed and eat animal crackers and drink water while I layed by her. Oh, the life of a two year old. As tired as I am this week from sleeping in her room every night, I wouldn't wish a moment away. She has my heart and always will.
Happy Saturday!
