Family Time!

Saturday my parents and sister's family came over to our house for some playtime and dinner.  The kids had so much fun playing together! It is so cute to see Avrey and Violet play with each other (and walk along side each other) and of course Isabelle, Ava, and Isaiah always have so much fun!
Here are just a few pictures from the day!

(Yes Isabelle is dressed up as Ariel....surprise, surprise, she is always dressed as a princess!)

Isabelle and I went to Sunday School today and did some major 70% off clearance shopping at Target followed by lots and lots of playtime at home with Avrey! :) It was a great weekend and we hope everyone is staying warm!

Avrey on the go!!

Catching Up

Little Avrey is now walking all over the house! For the past month she has been cruising along our couches and furniture but today she got up on her car and just took off.  Not her usual couple steps, but super fast and all across rooms and into the kitchen.  She was so cute and so proud of herself!!!

Avrey also had her 9 month check up last Tuesday.  She weighed 21 pds 10 oz (87%) and was 31 inches long (97%).  She is one healthy girl!!!  Avrey is about 3 pounds bigger and 2 inches longer then Isabelle was at 9 months, and even bigger at 9 months then Isabelle was at 12 months!!! :)

I love this picture of Isabelle from last week.  She is all about being girly and princessey and fancy lately.  She will only wear skirts, tutus, and dresses from now on.  Many, many days we run errands or go places and she is dressed up in her dress up princess clothes. :)  I love this phase! It's so cute!

We also cut Isabelle's hair. It was looooong over due! It is so cute, shiny, bouncy and healthy looking now!  I love and more importantly she loves it!

She was not in the mood for a picture but this is her shopping outfit at Target. :)

Last week, we also welcomed our newest nephew! Kevin's sister Amy had a baby boy Andrew Ray! He is so precious!

Last weekend we also had two birthday parties to attend.  Saturday we went to our neighbor's son's 1st Birthday party! Isabelle had so much fun eating cake, and playing in the gym at the community complex! She wore herself out! Sunday we celebrated our niece Mirabel's 2nd birthday at her house, it is hard to believe she is already 2!!

That is about it for our catch up! I am trying to post a video of Avrey walking along but for some reason it won't upload, so hopefully I can figure it out one of these days!

My little 9 monther!

This post is a little late, but on January 3rd, little Avrey turned 9 months old!!!!!!!  She is 3/4 of the way to 1 year old!??!! Time is going way to fast with her!!

At 9 months Avrey is a girl on the go! She is constantly crawling super fast all over the house.  Going up the stairs over and over and over!  And she loves to cruise along the furniture walking!  She is so strong and so determined!

Avrey takes 2 naps a day, a morning nap around 10:00 and an afternoon nap around 3:00.  She usually sleeps about 1 1/2 - 2 hours each time. She is usually in bed around 7:30 for the night.  She will still wake up for a short time and want a little bottle and go right back to sleep.  But I think we are making progress in her getting back to sleeping through the night.  She will make it till about 5:30 or so in the morning and then go back to sleep till 8.  So if she can just make it till 7!!! :)

Avrey eats 3 meals a day in her booster seat.  Her favorite foods right now are french toast sticks,  bananas, mangos, kiwi, she LOVES grilled cheese, shredded cheese, spaghetti, breads, meatballs, cooked carrots and peas, Ritz crackers, applesauce, soft apples cut up, yogurt, little crunchies, and yogurt melts.  She even has a baby "cookie" once in a while and loves munching on those!  She isn't a big fan of any meat except very small pieces of deli chicken and small pieces of meatballs.  I think she has a hard time chewing it, which I don't blame her, considering she still just has her two bottom teeth! She also has two 8oz bottles a day still.

Avrey is still the easiest baby in the world.  Her temperament is so easy going, happy, smiley, and she just goes with the flow. She always has a big smile on her face for anyone, but she is not a fan of people holding her that she is not too familiar with, or even sometimes anyone but mommy! :)  She absolutely adores Isabelle, and lights up when she hears her voice and plays with her.

Avrey's favorite things to do at 9 months are look at books, play with stuffed animals, her little kitchen, blocks, little people, play in her red car, and go on zebra rides all day long.

We love you so much Avrey Ann.  You are such a blessing to our family.  We can't wait to see what the next month holds for you! We love you peanut!

Christmas Celebrations Continue!

Our Christmas celebrations lasted all of last week!  Friday we went to Kevin's sister's house to exchange gifts with them and Saturday morning we went to Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's house with Uncle Dan also.  Isabelle had so much fun and Avrey did too, although I could tell she just wasn't feeling well Saturday. She was just not herself, fussy, and was getting feverish. (The poor little thing ended up in the ER Sunday morning at 5:30 with a 105.7 fever!!!!!!!) But before we get to that...here are some pictures from Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's!

Unfortunately the battery in our camera died right after this picture. :(  We really need to be better about having it charged!!!

Here are a few other pictures from last week as well!
The day after Christmas!

Since Isabelle never naps she likes to have "resting" time and watch a little Disney Junior on mommy and daddy's bed. :)  Although her resting time can be at 9am or 6pm or anywhere in between.  She just likes to make sure that Doc McStuffins or Henry Hugglemonster is on :)

Avrey standing on the couch like she does all the time.  She can now cruise the furniture like a pro!!!

My little peanut before bed tonight. :)  Babies just look so cozy in their jammies.

That concludes our Christmas celebrations. Our New Years was spent in our jammies and all asleep by 9:30!! Perfect if you ask me!!! :)  2014 will be a great year and we can't wait to watch our little girls grow!

(And for all those wondering about Avrey, she is on an antibiotic still for about 10 days, had a doctor appointment Tuesday, and will be doing some follow up testing at the hospital coming up.  She will be having a VCUG test done most likely followed by a renal exam to further check her kidneys.  We pray everything turns out fine with these tests and that we are able to get through them.  I have heard they are just horrible to have children go through.  I am absolutely dreading them but I know they are necessary and that Avrey won't remember them, it will just not be a fun day at the hospital.  We will take all the prayers we can get for our little girl!)

Christmas at Grandpa and Grandma's!

Christmas afternoon we spent up in Ames at my parents house celebrating with Grandpa, Grandma, my sisters family, and my Uncle Dave.  The cousins had so much fun playing, opening and playing with their gifts, frosting Christmas cookies, and just enjoying each other's company!
Here are some pictures from Christmas afternoon!

Once we were back at home in the evening, Isabelle had to put away and organize every single thing she received!  And she wanted most of it besides the puzzles and games in her room.  Luckily organizing is one of my favorite things to do so she had lots of help from me! :)  And we did make a trip to Target the next day for some purple storage drawers to hold all her crafty stuff in her room. :)

Thanks for a wonderful Christmas afternoon mom and dad!
