Trick or Treat!

Yesterday was our towns Trick or Treat night.  Grandma and Grandpa came down to Trick or Treat with Isabelle and to hand out candy while we were walking the neighborhood. :)  Isabelle was so excited to go and wanted to go before it even started!

Isabelle went to 7 houses before requesting to go home.  She said she was too cold and would NOT wear a coat, mittens, or bundle in a blanket even.  She just wanted to go home and hand the candy out (and eat some too!).  She loved seeing the trick or treaters come to our house!  She was also very happy to get another Halloween present from Grandma and Grandpa, and one from my sister!  Thank you!

Today Isabelle received her first birthday present!  She was so happy when I told her she had a present and opened it right away!

The Ariel Bathtime Playset...from her friend Adeline!  Thank you!!  She already played with it tonight in the bath! :)

And yes if you noticed in one of the pictures our Christmas stockings are hung. :) I started decorating yesterday actually and am just about done.  All that is left to do is the outdoor decorations on the porch, (Kevin has even hung the lights already) and put the garland up on our staircase!  We even got the tree out tonight and decorated while listening to Christmas music!  Isabelle has a tree this year too in her room full of all her ornaments!  We love the Christmas season and love to be surrounded by it as long as possible!

Happy (Early) Halloween!

This evening Isabelle was the lucky recipient of some Halloween presents from mommy and daddy. :) We gave them to her a couple days early so she can enjoy them longer and since tomorrow evening will be a full day of trick or treating and receiving lots of goodies. :)  (And we all know the day after trick or treating...most years the night after.....I take all the Halloween decorations down and Christmas goes up in one long day/night of decorating!  Which I can't wait for!!)

Back to her surprise gifts. :)  She was so excited to wake up from her nap and see 2 bags for her, and did a good job patiently waiting until daddy came home from work at 4:30 to open them! :)

Once daddy was home...the opening began!
The first bag contained coloring books, glitter glue, paints, crafts, and ring pops.

The second contained a book and DUFFY!!! She was SO happy to have her own Duffy!  And he is dressed like a pumpkin! She told Duffy many, many times she loved him so much and he is now sleeping next to her in bed. :)

We are looking forward to a fun night tomorrow of trick or treating with our princess!

A Weekend of Festivities

We hope you all had a great weekend!  Our weekend was filled with Halloween festivities both Saturday and Sunday!  Both of which our princess got to dress up as Cinderella for!

Saturday we went to the Grimes Halloween Fest.  My parents came down for this and came over afterwards for a pizza party :)  Isabelle ate entirely way to many cupcakes that Grandma and Grandpa bought for her there..way to many.  I guess since it's Halloween season maybe it makes it not quite so bad :)

She loves her bounce houses!

Doing her favorite thing....reading books. :)

Sunday our church had a "Trunk or Treat" in the afternoon.  People from the church decorate they trunks of their cars and the kids then go around the parking lot trunk-or-treating.  It is such a cute tradition, I think maybe next  year we will decorate our trunk as well!

We have a busy week ahead with Halloween, trick-or-treating, and Isabelle's big 3rd Birthday on Saturday!!! Three??!!  Already?!  Where does the time go! We can't wait for her big day!

The Halloween Fun Continues.....

This evening Isabelle attended a Halloween party at our library.  She loves any chance to wear her Cinderella dress and any chance to play games and get prizes!  She had lots of fun making crafts, getting candy, playing games, and being absolutely adorable!

We have a fun weekend ahead full of many more Halloween activities!

In other baby news...we had another ultrasound yesterday due to some more bleeding I had.  Our baby girl is perfectly healthy and was not effected by this in anyway.  They checked everything...her heart, kidneys, brain, bones, stomach, blood flow, bladder, cord....I mean everything, and she is a picture of perfect health with a strong heartbeat in the 150's still.  The ultrasound did confirm that I had a small sub chronic hemorrhage which is what caused the initial scare before.  This should hopefully be the end of this and we pray we can continue the rest of this pregnancy worry free (if that is possible!)  Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts during this time!!

Halloween Party Fun

This morning Isabelle went to a preschool Halloween party the West Des Moines library put on.  She was so excited to wear her Cinderella dress again (although she wouldn't wear the crown :).  They did Halloween magic tricks, went on a parade to show off all the cute kids in their outfits, read Halloween stories, did a puppet show, sang songs, and got a Halloween craft to take home to make.  Isabelle was photographed again for the newspaper so we will see if she makes it later this week :)  Here are the few pictures I did take. :)

On her way! She kept saying "Look at me mommy, in me pretty Cinderella dress." :)

Walking in the parade!

During the show.

Happy to get a craft to take home!

Afterwards we had to stop by Target for a few things which of course turned into lunch.  :)

Happy Monday!

Grimes Fall Festival

Sunday was another day spent enjoying some of our favorite fall activities.  Our town puts on an annual Fall Festival every year, and this was Isabelle's 3rd year to attend!  She had lots of fun playing games, decorating pumpkins, jumping in the bounce house, getting a balloon animal, and decorating a gigantic cookie!  Enjoy the pictures!

This week is full of more fall fun with two Halloween parties and our town's Halloween Fest (yes we have a Fall Festival and Halloween Festival!)  We can't wait for the fall fun to continue!
