The Best Ice Cream Place Around

If you love ice cream then you have to try Heavenly Delights Ice Cream.  It is a little ice cream shop in our town and it has the best ice cream around.  Everything about it is neat, the decor is like a 50's diner inside, they have seating outside, and a walk up window to order from.  They have the best "crunch shakes", much like a DQ blizzard, and lots and lots of ice cream and frozen treats.  You can sample any kind too. :)
After dinner today we took Isabelle there and she was very, very happy to be at an ice cream shop.  After all, Isabelle loves ice cream more then anything else.  Even more then chocolate chip cookies.  She will never turn down ice cream as long as there is chocolate in it, and the more chocolate the better.  Needless to say she devoured her ice cream and was in a very good mood while eating it. :)  Of course mommy brought the camera along.

Ordering her ice cream

Isabelle's kiddie cup.  They make the kiddie cups look like a smiley face.  She ordered the "chocolate brownie extreme".  Mommies favorite too. :)

Yum, Yum, Yum

We went outside to finish the rest.

Her pajamas tonight were very fitting for her day.  They say "I scream for ice cream."

I see many, many more trips there this summer. :)

Best Buddies

This morning Isabelle had her best buddy Adeline over to play!  They had lots of fun playing outside with toys, the pool, the sandbox, and water table!  The pictures aren't the best quality, I realized after taking them all I had it switched to a different mode so they aren't very bright, but you can still see these two cuties having fun!

Fun in the sand!

Moving on to the pool.....

Thanks for coming over Adeline and Jill! We always love our get togethers with you two!

An Afternoon at the Pool.

Before I write about our afternoon at the pool, I must say how incredibly proud I am of Isabelle! The past 10 days she was fallen asleep all on her own for her naps and bedtimes.  She refuses to be rocked and tries to climb into her crib so I lay her in there, tell her I love her, and leave.  Within minutes she is sound asleep (or quiet at least!).  She is such a big girl and it is so nice knowing that she can now fall asleep, and wants to, on her own, cuddling with all her stuffed animals!
I checked on her today and snapped a picture of our little sleeping beauty.

After her nap we went to the local swimming pool.  We had never been there before so I wasn't sure what to expect.  They have a little pool that is just for small kids and the water does not go above 18 inches.  It was perfect for Isabelle.  She seemed very interested in the big pool though and kept staring over at it.  I also think she was a little upset that she was the only one in the kid pool without an inner tube!  Whoops!  Looks like we will be putting that on our list of things to get this week!

Here are the pictures from the pool today.

Time for a snack break.

Eyeing the big pool.

She seemed to enjoy it and absolutely bawled when we left.  I think next time we will try one of the two aquatic centers instead since they have more kid friendly areas with fountains and bigger kids pools.  But we did have a great afternoon!

Sunday Morning Adventures

Isabelle slept for 14 straight hours last night, which meant a late start to our morning so we didn't go to church.  We instead went back to Jester Park after a late breakfast and we had the whole place to ourselves (well the kiddie play area at least).  Isabelle was extremely excited to show everything to daddy and practically took off running to point everything out to him.

Under the spider sign with daddy.

Showing daddy the frog on the rock that she loves!

The bison were out again

The one on the very right is a little baby.

Time for more fun!

The little butterfly that caught Isabelle's eye.

We saw the Elk this time too.  She loved them!

She loved this butterfly too and wanted to touch it

We had a great morning and we know Isabelle loved it cause sadly there were lots of tears when we had to leave. :( Good thing we can go back anytime we want!
