Day 5: Walt Disney World Vacation

Day 5: 06/04.  With four fun days already behind us we were ready to go for day five of our Disney World vacation!  Where were we off to today?  The Animal Kingdom!!! This is one of my most favorite places to be in the world.  I could spend days upon days here just looking at everything each "country" has, from the rides, the shows, the shops, and of course the animals.  And Isabelle was equally as excited to go back to the Animal Kingdom!

Patiently waiting for the Disney bus...

And we are here!

The famous "Tree of Life"....Isabelle wanted the tree to open, just like her miniature play version she has at home!

Walking to Africa for breakfast.

We ate breakfast at Tusker House, and it was equally as good now as it was during our September trip.  I was so excited that Isabelle wanted to hug all the characters there.  She has grown so much since our last visit!
Before we went in the restaurant we got pictures with Safari Donald Duck!

The restaurant is a HUGE buffet of American and African breakfast items

Daisy Duck came to visit our table!

Then Isabelle's favorite...Mickey Mouse himself!

And of course Safari Goofy!

After breakfast we did one of our many sunscreen applications!  Aunt Amy did a "nose dance and song" to keep Isabelle happy during this. :)

Next we walked through the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.  This is full of animals and beautiful landscaping.

The gorillas!

Then it was on to the Kilimanjaro Safaris!  One of my most favorite things to do in Disney.  You see so many animals found in Africa and in their natural habitats.  Disney does such an amazing job of preserving these animals and helping protect the wildlife.

Rhinos....

Birds...

Hippos...

Crocodiles....

This is a termite mound...they are found all over the African safari.  The termites live in these and apparently the elephants even use them for scratching posts for their backs!

Wilder beasts...

My personal favorite, the giraffes.  They are such beautiful animals!

And the adorable elephants....

The upside down trees found in Africa....

A lion taking a nap...

Inside this little cave is Pumba the warthog!

And more rhinos!

Isabelle was just about asleep as the Safari was ending...the exact same thing she did last time!

Another picture of the landscaping in Animal Kingdom

While Isabelle napped, we took turns riding Expedition Everest....another personal favorite!

This is the view from the top of the mountain.  You can see Epcot way out in the distance.

Since Isabelle was still napping, my dad and I rode Dinosaur.  We are in the back row.  Kevin later rode with Ava and my mom!

Isabelle and Ava picked out matching Mickey/Princess/Pirate ears!

After most of the day in the hot sun, we need to get inside some air conditioning.  Finding Nemo-The Musical was the perfect way to cool off.

Isabelle then enjoyed some much needed play time in The Boneyard....where kids can dig for dinosaur bones and play!  Kevin stayed with her while I rode Kali River Rapids, then we all met back up!

My mom is still soaking wet from Kali River Rapids!

We then rode Tricatop Spin....I lost count of how many times Isabelle rode!  She loved it!

Kevin, Isabelle, and I then went to Festival of the Lion King show.  It is amazing!

We spotted some familiar faces fishing!

Isabelle was beyond happy to find this little baby Simba key chain just like her big one she has had since she was born.  She carries it around all the time!

After a busy and fun day at Animal Kingdom Isabelle and I went to sleep and Kevin went out to Hollywood Studios for extra magic hours with my dad and Andy till about 1am!  The fun never stops!
