2 Big Steps

Today was a big day around here.  It started out like any other day.  Isabelle did LOTS of cruising on the furniture, but only wanted to use one hand the whole time.

She was also bound and determined to climb every single stair in our house.  Over and over and over again.

We went swinging.

Then back inside for some more playtime before dinner.  However, while she was cruising along back and forth between the couch and the ottoman, she let go with one hand.  Then the other hand.  Then she took one step.  And another.  Yes that is correct, Isabelle took her first 2 steps today all by herself.  With no "coaching" or help from us.  I could not believe my eyes.  I seriously just stared at her for minutes afterwards wondering if I really just saw my little baby take her first steps.  And I realized I did.  And then I cried.  I am SO proud of you Isabelle!  (And so is daddy! We did call him right away!)

I asked for a kiss and attempted to take a picture and this is what I got :)

Maybe she will take more steps tomorrow.  Maybe not.  Either way we are so proud of our little girl.  She has always been so determined to accomplish new tasks and she sure was proud of herself today.  We love you Isabelle Ann!
