Birds, Lizards, and Alligators, Oh My!

This morning to wrap up the end of the summer reading program at the library, they had a show and tell day with Blank Park Zoo.  Isabelle and I got there early enough so she could have a front row seat!  She was very interested in the animals but did not want anything to do with touching them.  I don't blame her since I thought they were going to be cute, furry, little animals.  Instead the zoo brought a bird, a lizard, a hissing cockroach, a ferret, and an alligator!

The parrot that lives in Africa.  He is 15 years old and lives to be about 50!

I can't remember what this actually was, a mix between a snake and a lizard.

The hissing cockroach! Yuck!

Isabelle quickly backing away when they asked if she wanted to touch it.

The ferret.

And a "baby" alligator.  Actually he is 6 years old but will grow to be about 15 feet!

Back at home with her favorite animal...brother Simba!

And these are two pictures from yesterday.  Adeline is going to start coming to the Praise and Play class we go to on Thursday mornings.  Isabelle was so happy to have Adeline and Jill there with her!

We are getting ready for a busy, but fun, weekend ahead!  Happy Friday!
