This morning Isabelle (and Kevin & I), went to her 5th parade of the summer! Kevin's parents live in Ankeny and this weekend is the town's Summerfest so today was the big town parade. Isabelle was very excited with her front row seat and really enjoyed watching everything and especially collecting candy and goodies that were thrown to her. She really like the dogs, the Monkey Joe's float that went by, the band, and any "character". She got so much candy that between all her parades she is definitely set for a long time!
Here are the pictures during the parade.
Wearing her bead necklaces.
Mid Sneeze. Bless you munchkin! (And she was really happy to get this beach ball thrown to her!)
Afterwards we went out for lunch at Chilli's. Isabelle especially enjoyed her ice cream sundae for dessert!
When we got back home I put her down for her nap as I do every single day. She climbed out of her crib. I put her back, and she climbed out again. Luckily she did not get hurt or even cry, but that is now the third time that has happened. Needless to say she refused her nap today so off we went to Homemakers where my parents had bought her crib to order the toddler rail for her bed. I hope it comes in asap so we can put it on! Her crib will convert to a double bed but I just feel like she is way to little for that right now. We will probably get the double bed in the spring but for now want her in the toddler bed to get use to it (and so she can't climb out and get hurt!). I am praying she stays in there tonight. I tried to get her to sleep in our bed tonight but she did not want to and is luckily asleep in her crib now (after another attempted escape). Hopefully the toddler bed conversion parts come sooner rather then later, otherwise we may have some sleepless days and nights around here!
