Tiny Dancer and Tumbler!

Tuesday Isabelle had her first ballet class.  There is a dance company in a nearby town that has free ballet for 3 years olds over the summer.  She was so excited to go!!! And looked so beautiful!

Unfortunately the class was not at all what we were expecting.  There was absolutely no organization, no teaching of ballet moves, and lots of running around to loud music.  Clearly not what we had in mind for Isabelle's ballet.  It was so bad, we ended up just walking out early.  Such a disappointment.  Thankfully there are two highly reputable dance places in our town that she will take from this fall.  We are going to be visiting each for a trial class to see which one she likes best.  One is just ballet, and one is a combination of ballet, tap, and tumbling.  Anyways....we will be doing that next week. :)
I did get a few pictures of Isabelle "dancing" before we left. :)

The good news was that Isabelle did get to do a great class in the evening.  She started her advanced tumbling yesterday and LOVED it!  She walked on the little balance beam all by herself.  Did turns on it sideways, backwards, and full circles.  She even volunteered to demonstrate a move she learned in beginners tumbling to the rest of the class.  (I was watching through the door.:)  We love how much she loves tumbling! Maybe we have a future gymnast here!
Avrey enjoyed going along to tumbling to support her big sister. :)

After tumbling she went out for ice cream! A perfect ending to her day!

We are so proud of you Isabelle and can't wait for you to find a ballet class that is actually ballet. :)
