Isabelle had an extremely fun afternoon. After her nap I took her to Monkey Joe's and she bounced the afternoon away! We were laterally the only ones there when we got there. So wonderful! Kevin met us there after he got off work and joined in on the fun. Isabelle can not get enough of this place! She LOVES it! Enjoy the pictures!
So happy!
What a perfect afternoon! Now if only the evening would have stayed that perfect. A quick summary of what happened after Monkey Joe's.
Walked next door to eat dinner at Hyvee. Walked back to cars. Isabelle and I in our car. Kevin walking to his car since he met us there after work. I run over concrete block...no wait....I run over 6 inch nail that was underneath the concrete block that somehow got moved. (In the huge parking lot there was not one divider, except right in front of my car which obviously I did not see. Instead of backing up, I went forward and hit it. Literally the only one in the whole gigantic parking lot). Front tire completely blows. Move Isabelle's car seat to Kevin's car so we can at least get her home and Kevin can come back to change tire. We all ride back to Grimes in Kevin's car. (Isabelle's 2nd time ever!). Get home and realize we cannot get into house. Only garage opener that works is in the Honda at Monkey Joe's. Don't have key to storm door to get in front. Start driving back to West Des Moines. Realize Kevin's car needs gas. Get gas. On way back to get garage opener. Isabelle has to go the bathroom. NOW. Stop at Target so Isabelle can go to the bathroom. Kevin waits in car. Isabelle won't leave Target because she wants something from the dollar section. I don't have wallet with me since we just went in to use the bathroom. Walk out of Target with Isabelle trying to run back in upset. Get Kevin's wallet. Tell Isabelle she can pick out 1 toy from dollar section. Isabelle gets 2 squishy ball toys. Get back into Kevin's car. Get garage opener. Drive back home. Finally home. Would just put Isabelle to bed with no bath but since we were at Monkey Joes we decide she needs one! Isabelle gets bath. Goes to sleep. Kevin drives back out to Monkey Joes to attempt to put on spare tire with a flashlight and hopefully drive Honda home and leave his car out there until we can get it, whenever that will be. When it rains it pours. :) I wrote this so someday we will find the humor in this story. :)
