We have a healthy, growing, smart little girl around here! According to her doctor! Isabelle had her 18 month check up today and got a clean bill of health! She grew 1 inch in 3 months and is now 32.5 inches which puts her in the 75% for height. She gained close to 2 pounds in 3 months and is now 23 pounds 6 oz which puts her in the 37%! The poor little thing had to get two vaccines today. But the good news is that she is all done with vaccines until kindergarten!!! (Except the yearly flu shot!). And she does not have to go back until her 2 year appointment!
This trip to the doctor was different then before since Isabelle HATED it! She was extremely upset when the nurse even entered the room, and her once beloved doctor got an earful of screams and tears too. She did not want them to do anything to her! Not even the simple listen to your heartbeat routine. The doctor did say that the 18 month check up is the "worst" as far as how the kids are since they are at the age where they know why they are at the doctor and remember it. That coupled with the fact that they are at the tantrum starting stage makes for a not fun visit. The visit was quick, she then ate lunch and took a good nap, and the rest of her day was spent having lots of fun!
After her nap the doctor visit was a distant memory and we stayed outside until 6:30 tonight! Isabelle ate her snack on her car ride around the neighborhood.
After the car ride we put her new swimsuit on and got out the sprinkler for some fun! It was hot, hot, hot here today! She loved the sprinkler! I think she grew tired of it after a while. After all, there are only so many times you can run through it before something else seems more appealing!
On to the next water activity.
Her little swimsuit is still a bit to big, so I think we will have to wear the smaller sized one tomorrow! After all, its suppose to be 92!
After all that water fun, Isabelle ate dinner outside at her picnic table. I was so impressed that she actually sat down and ate her meal! She ate all of it while sitting! Normally she eats a little bit then gets up to play and comes back snacking on her meal. Tonight she did great! She must have been hungry from all the playing!
And a mini chocolate chip cupcake for dessert! Yummy!
After a rough start to her day at the doctors, Isabelle ended up having a fun day in the sun! Happy Monday!
