Happy Easter!!! We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!!! We had a perfect Easter day at our house today. Since we are 3 days (now almost 2!!!) away from having our little girl we decided to just stay at home this Easter and relax with just the three (four including Simba!) of us.
The Easter Bunny was very good to Isabelle this year. She has been asking for a power wheel since Christmas, so the Easter Bunny thought that with spring and a new sibling here it would be a great time to spoil her with one! She also received a basket full of goodies and lots of books, sticker books, and a cute Minnie Mouse dressed as an Easter bunny. She was so happy!
Simba sitting amongst the gifts after the Easter Bunny arrived!
The orange egg with the blue feathers sticking out was Simba's toy the bunny left him. :)
After a 12 hour sleep, Isabelle woke up so happy and was telling us over and over Happy Easter! She was also very excited to see what the Easter Bunny left her and her sister!
Holding her baby sisters new toy and book. :)
After the gift opening Isabelle went for an Easter egg hung around the house!
She also wanted to test drive her car inside before church! :)
During church service she kept busy doing her stickers. I cannot say enough how much she loves sticker books!!
After church she went on another Easter Egg hunt and found all the eggs the bunny had left outside!
This afternoon she took her new car for a ride and ended up driving it all the way to the park with daddy. :)
This may be the last post before the big announcement of our little girls arrival!!! We are scheduled for my c-section Wednesday morning bright and early. I have my last doctor appointment tomorrow morning and then I will happily be resting (or attempting to rest) at home until we leave for the hospital. I feel so blessed that I have been able to stay at home with Isabelle for 3 1/2 years and have this incredibly close mommy/daughter relationship with her already. She is my pride and joy and everyday I wake up so thankful God gave us her for a daughter. Just when we think we could not love her anymore, we do. It will be so amazing to have another little daughter to love, protect, treasure, and bond with. And we are so excited for the sister bond that Isabelle and the baby will have. I know firsthand how incredibly special having a sister is and I am so blessed that our two children will have that bond as well.
With that...non Easter ending to my Easter post.....I will end with what I started with. Happy Easter!!!
