Living History Farms Family Halloween

Our fun fall festivities continued into today with an afternoon trip to Living History Farms.  Today they had Family Halloween Night (although it was from 1-5).  Isabelle got to dress up in her Halloween costume again and go trick or treating!  (Yes the memories from her trick or treating in this costume only a couple weeks ago in Disney World came flooding back).  She had lots of fun getting candy, toys, noise makers, roasting marshmallows, going on a horse drawn wagon ride, and seeing all the pumpkin and scarecrow displays.  It was a beautiful day out today and lots of pictures were taken.

On our way in visiting the fire truck

Walking to the trick or treat stations.

Checking out her mouth whistles. :)  She is very good at blowing them and making the noise. :)

More candy!

She loved the smiley face on this display.

Isabelle really loves her new worm a trick or treat station was giving out :)  It lights up and bounces.  She would not put it down the rest of the day.

The pavilion was decorated like a witch!

The famous Iowa A&E cow.

Another Isabelle favorite.....this ghost. :)

A cute little goat.

On the horse drawn wagon ride.

Walking through the jack-o-lantern pathways.

Our little pumpkin next to the big pumpkin!

Roasting marshmallows.

And eating them.....

Isabelle was very tired from the fun day and fell asleep on the short drive home. :)

I love fall this time of year with all the festivals, pumpkin patches, and activities going on.  I am glad we are getting good use out of her costume and she will still be wearing it four more times in the next week for Toddler Time, Kindermusik Family Fun Night, Grimes Annual Halloween Fest, and of course Trick or Treating!  We will be having lots of fun in the week ahead!
