Happy Birthday Dad and The Science Center

Yesterday, March 13th, was my dad's 57th birthday.  My parents were in Indiana over the weekend so we all got together today to celebrate.  Luckily my parents, and my sister's school has the same spring break schedule and Kevin had the day off of work, so today was a perfect day to get together.  After Isabelle's nap today (and after some playtime outside)  we headed over to the Science Center of Iowa.  We had never been there before with Isabelle and she had tons of fun!!!!  They have an entire area devoted to little kids and toddlers, she did not miss out on doing anything, and also really enjoyed the "adult" exhibits too!  Maybe a future scientist?

Pointing out the circle and square in the entrance.

Mona Lisa.....wait.....it's Isabelle!

Playing in the little town

"These feel funny..."

Time to shop in the grocery store!

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles!

Playing in a tunnel that led to this...I think it was suppose to be a log.

In a dark cave with Grandpa!

Closely watching a big snapping turtle.  Isabelle said "turtle" twice while looking at this little guy.  It was said perfectly clear and pronounced perfectly.  (In fact it brought tears to my eyes it was so cute!).  Isabelle was also the lucky recipent of a new stuffed animal turtle from Aunt Amy, Uncle Andy, Ava, and Isaiah.  She loves it!

Playing on the Channel 13 news broadcasting stage.....she was on the TV here a couple times!

Building a tower with daddy.

After a fun afternoon of exploring and playing we all headed over to Granite City for dinner for my dad's birthday.  We had a great time today and will hopefully be taking Isabelle back to the Science Center in the near future!

I can't leave out big brother Simba.......he is getting bigger by the day.  We love you too buddy!
