Elly to the Rescue!!!

As I have mentioned before, when Isabelle turned 8 months old she stopped sleeping through the night.  She would wake up anywhere from 1-5 times during the night and want to be held.  Her doctor had recommended the "crying it out" approach, which Kevin and I did not want to do, and never tried.  So for the past three months we have been getting up several times a night to be with her.  I thought there has got to be something else that will help her sleep.  Especially since when she got up she didn't want anything but for us to hold her.....AND.......for her to hold Elly.  If you remember Elly is her little pink elephant blanket that goes everywhere with her.  She carries it around the house constantly and holds it as she falls asleep every night and every nap.  But we have never put anything in her crib with her while she slept.  Until now.  We have started giving her Elly at night to sleep with and guess what?  She has slept through the night every night since she has had Elly!  The answer was with us all along.  Thank goodness for Elly!
