Happy Mommy's Day (1 of 2)

"Happy Mommy's Day Mommy".  Hearing those simple words from Isabelle was all I needed for the day. I am blessed beyond my dreams to be her mommy.  She has taught me so much about love, life, having fun, and truly knowing what is important in life. 

Isabelle and Kevin are planting me a big garden for mother's day.  It isn't complete yet, but they are working on it and I am so excited to have a garden!!  They also gave me a hanging flower basket, and Isabelle made a cute Mommy's Day frame, and gave me this huge card!

And yes, I am very grateful to be Simba's mommy too!  Going on 8 years!

After Kevin, Isabelle, and I went to church this morning we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's for lunch.  Isabelle made Grandma a stepping stone for outside with her hand print on it.

Isabelle wanted to hold her baby cousin Mirabel for the first time! It was so precious to see how sweet she was with her. She was giving her head kisses and was so gentle and careful!

After a great time here, we headed to Ames for the rest of the afternoon and for dinner.  Pictures from that to come soon!

Grandma and Outside Play

This morning my mom came down to play with Isabelle and took us out for lunch.  Isabelle was so excited as always and loves her playtime with grandma! I don't think my mom had been here for more then 5 minutes when Isabelle requested that she paint her toes and fingernails. :)

This pictures shows Isabelle's new haircut!!! She now has a cute little bob cut for summer. :)  Thanks to an episode of Elmo that was on the other morning while we were getting ready. Elmo was all about hair and showed a boy getting a haircut.  Isabelle then really, really, really wanted her haircut, so that is what I did. She did so good and sat backwards while I wet her hair down and cut it.  Plus we think a little bob cut is perfect for the hot summer (and Florida!) weather we have coming up! We sure think she looks adorable!

After another very long nap (I usually have to wake her up these days she naps so long!) it was time to play outside all evening!  She cannot get enough of her swingset!

Happy Birthday Amy!

Today was my sister's 33rd Birthday.  Happy Birthday Amy!  They came down to our house for the afternoon/evening to celebrate.  Isabelle, Ava, and Isaiah and so much fun playing in the pool, on the swing set and running around outside all afternoon!  Grandma and Grandpa came and brought tons of food too!  It was a great Saturday and a great way to celebrate my sister!

I can't tell you how much it means to me to have a sister who I am so incredibly close to.  I love you Amy, and I am so glad we got to celebrate your day with  you.  Isabelle loves her Auntie Amy SO MUCH! She lights up around you and simply adores you!  Thank you for being you!  Happy Birthday!

Little Beach Babe

How cute is Isabelle in her pineapple swimsuit and sunglasses?  I honestly don't think I have ever seen her look more adorable.  She was so excited to go play on her swing set after her nap today and even more excited (if that is possible) that I had got the pool out and ready during her nap.
