Looking for Lawn Care?

Looking for someone to take care of your yard?  Look no further! Isabelle can do it!  She was hard at work yesterday making sure our yard was in tip top shape!

She mowed the grass.  Over and over and over again.

She inspected the landscaping.

And mowed some more.

She stopped to smell the flowers.

And back to the mower.

Isabelle made sure she got her break in from all the hard work!

She straightened the bricks....

And even painted the house with chalk!

And the fence.

One last break before....

Back to the mower!

What a big helper we have!

And in other news...Isabelle went to her first Summer Reading program event today at the library.  It was a musical tour of Mexico with a member of Las Guitarras de Mexico.  Isabelle was very interested in the music and it really reminded mommy of walking through Mexico at Epcot!   We can't wait for next week's program on Africa!

Happy Friday!

Way To Go Daddy!!!!

Notice the writing on the bathtub wall?

Way to go daddy!!! Kevin got a new job offer yesterday! He had a phone interview last week, a face to face interview yesterday, and shortly after they called him to extend a job offer! We could not be more proud!

Kevin has worked at Wells Fargo since right out of college but will be leaving the company. His new job is with Principal Financial Group in downtown Des Moines. His title will be "Senior Compliance Associate". Everything about this opportunity, from the hours, to the benefits, is a much better fit our him and for our family. He can pick his own hours as long as he gets his 40 hours a week in. Isabelle is very excited that daddy will be home every evening with her now! He is thinking he will work 7:00-3:30 or so which would be wonderful! He starts this new job on June 13th! Congratulations Kevin! We love you and are so proud and excited for this amazing opportunity for you!

A Morning at Preschool

Today Isabelle and I spent the morning at preschool.  No, not for Isabelle, for her cousin Ava's end of the year preschool program!  It's hard to believe that Ava is already done with her first year of preschool and even harder to believe that Isabelle will be starting preschool in two years (she is already on the class list for fall of 2013!).  Isabelle had lots of fun seeing what preschool was all about.  And from the music, dancing, toys, and cookies, I am sure she got a good taste of what to expect!

In the gym (also Uncle Andy's office....he teaches P.E. there) where the program was held.

Ava's cheering section

Ava in the middle.......she was so cute during the program!

Isabelle was very interested in the basket of Mr. Potato heads.  She kept her eye on them until she finally snuck one away!

Isaiah on the exercise bike!

Eating at subway after the program.  She ate lunch very good there so she got a cookie for dessert!

Doing one of her new favorite things to do outside.....smelling flowers.  She likes to say "mmmmm" and smile while she does. :)

Isabelle was very concerned about the chipmunk that fell into grandpa and grandma's window well.  Luckily grandpa climbed in and rescued him!

What a great day!

Happy 7th Birthday Simba!

Happy 7th Birthday Simba!!!!  It's hard to believe little Simba is already 7 years old!  But then again I can't remember ever not having him around! I got him when he was only 7 weeks old!  He sure has made our lives interesting, there is never a dull moment with him!  We love you Simba!

Isabelle was very excited to give her brother Simba his two new toys she picked out this morning before breakfast!  So excited in fact that she climbed out of her crib this morning! Luckily she was not hurt and thought she was pretty funny. :)  Hopefully this is not the start of a new trend!

Simba says "Thank you Isabelle!"

She is always all smiles around him!

The Birthday boy enjoying his presents!

What a cutie!

Happy Birthday Simba!  You are the best kitty in the world! :)

Sunday. Funday.

What a fun Sunday we had outdoors today!  The weather was sunny and warm and Isabelle loved every minute of it!

We had to take a bush in the backyard out that the bunny ate to pretty much nothing......(not that we care since we encourage the bunnies to come into our yard by feeding them carrots everyday!).  We replaced it with a lilac bush. The bunny leaves our other four lilac bushes alone so I figured that was a safe bet. :)  Isabelle was a big helper in planting the new one!

After a change into her swimsuit she climbed into the wagon all by herself and wanted to be pulled around the backyard.

We played in the sprinkler.

The little neighbor boy Gavin who lives two houses down came down to play.  Isabelle and him are only ten days apart!  Isabelle was much more interested in their dog Herbie.  Maybe she thought it was cousin Jackson....only smaller. :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
