Avrey is ONE!!!!!

Thursday our little Avrey Ann turned the big ONE! I can't believe an entire year has gone by since she was born at 7:28am on April 3rd.  She is just the sweetest, happiest, smiliest little girl ever and has blessed our lives beyond measure. Avrey is walking (sometimes running!) all over the house now! It is so cute to see!! She now has 7 teeth, still eats great, but will not touch milk, even with added chocolate in it. So we will keep trying, but in the meantime she eats lots and lots of cheese! She still takes two naps a day ranging from 1-2 hours and goes to bed around 7:30 at night.

 

Thursday Avrey enjoyed a fun day at home with the 4 of us, Kevin took the day off work, so we had a great day as a family celebrating our sweetie.

Gift opening time! She loved all her books, toys, swimsuit and cover up, and we know she will LOVE her Pottery Barn chair when it arrives! I ordered it almost a month ago and it got put on back order. :(  So hopefully one of these days it will show up with her name on the back of it, just like Isabelles!

I made Avrey a cake for her birthday, it was her first taste of any sweet! She ended up loving it, but was not a fan of the ice cream!

 

Saturday we had her Birthday party with family at our house.  I will post on that soon!

Visiting the Easter Bunny!

Saturday we went to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny!  Both Isabelle and Avrey were excited to see the bunny and sit in his lap! It was so cute!!! Isabelle wanted them both to wear their fancy Easter dresses for the visit. :)  Here are the cute pictures I got of them.

Rewind Back a Weekend

It has been too long with no blogging! I feel like my free time has been spent working on my new "job" (Fairytale Journeys by Julie Larsen) in which I help others plan and book their Disney vacations! I have also been finally working on finishing our kitchen cupboard transformation to all white (it is taking WAY TO LONG), and getting ready for our little Avrey's 1st Birthday this week!!!! I cannot believe she will be one on Thursday!!!!

 

Isabelle had spring break last week and we enjoyed some time at home doing fun things around here.  Chucky cheese, playing with cousins, a visit to Uncle Andy's gym to play, playing outside, and unfortunately Isabelle getting sick throwing up.  :(  I blame Chucky Cheese for that, since it happened 36 hours after we left there...that place is too full of germs for me, I don't think we will be returning anytime soon!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Saturday we went up to Ames to celebrate my dad's birthday!  Isabelle (Anna from Frozen!) was so excited to help blow out the cake candles and eat the cake too :)  I didn't get many pictures from the day, but here are some I did capture. :)

 

 

Unfortunately Isabelle suddenly came down with some sort of bug, it hit her hard and bad.  We left right away and missed the dinner but it was good we did considering she spent the next two days in bed with an almost 103 fever.  Luckily she seems to be much better today, and Avrey so far is fine too! :)  We hope you had a great birthday dad! We love you!

11 months!

Monday my little peanut turned 11 months old!!!!!  I cannot believe she is less then a month away now from being 1!! She is growing up way to fast, I wish I could just freeze time and keep her my little baby forever.

 

At 11 months old Avrey is just absolutely precious.  She loves to give big, juicy, open mouthed kisses to us and is still a big cuddler when it comes to nap and bed time. She loves when I rock her to sleep and nestles in all cozy.  I would stay like that holding her forever if I could. She is so smiley still and lights up around Isabelle.  As soon as she hears Isabelle's voice she squeals with excitement and smiles.  They love to hold hands while riding in the car, both their little arms stretched out from their car seats and looking at each other smiling.  It just melts my heart.  Avrey also gets very excited when daddy comes home from work.  If we are on the main floor, she will crawl very fast to the back door and wait for him as soon as she hears the garage door open! It is so sweet!  And Simba is always guaranteed to make her smile.  She gets unbelievably excited at the mention of Simba's name and when she sees him she gets to him in seconds and reaches out to pet him.

 

Avrey now has 5 teeth, and is almost at 7.  Her top two middle ones are almost through, it will probably just be a matter of days now.  She is also growing so much! She is in all 18 month or 2T clothes.  Nothing that is 12 months or even 12-18 months fits her anymore! I am anxious to see how much she has grown at her year appointment next month!

 

Avrey is also very active at 11 months! She continues to crawl everywhere, climb up stairs, and is walking more and more also.  She will take anywhere from 8-15 steps by herself now with no help at all! She also loves to walk pushing her princess car and stroller around or walk along anything she can (walls, furniture, railings, cupboards)....she just loves to be standing!

 

She still takes two naps a day around 9:45 and 2:30-3:00.  Her naps can range anywhere from 2 hours to 45 minutes! But she loves her sleep when she gets it!  She usually goes to bed around 7:00-7:30 at night too. 

 

Avrey is still the best little eater in the world! She loves so many foods, but her favorites right now are: blueberries, strawberries, mangos, grilled cheese, meatless veggie burgers and meatless meatballs, blueberry waffles, goldfish crackers, graham crackers, cinnamon applesauce, spaghetti with lots of sauce, and cheese.  She likes lots of other foods too such as carrots, peas, mac and cheese, pancakes, cereal bars, bananas, raspberries, and apples.  She is also down to just serving of formula a day right before bed.  All day long she is eating big girl food like the rest of us, and loves it! :)

 

 

Avrey Ann, we love you with all our heart. Your laugh is so contagious and your smile warms our hearts.  You really are a perfect little baby and I could not be more proud, honored, and blessed to be your mommy!

The Playground

This afternoon Isabelle, Avrey, and I headed over to The Playground for an afternoon of fun! They both had lots of fun climbing around and Avrey especially loved all the balls! It was a great way for Isabelle to burn off some energy and she had a blast!

Grandma Play Day!

Monday my mom came over for the afternoon to play with Isabelle and Avrey! Isabelle requested Grandma pick her up from school that day so she did and then came home for a fun afternoon! They did beauty shop, played beach, Disney World, colored, danced, you name it! And this day was extra special because it was little Avrey's 11 month Birthday! (Future post to come on what she is up to at 11 months soon!)

Soccer Practice

Isabelle went to a soccer practice last week.  We had signed her up for 4 sessions, but she only made it to one.  She said she didn't like soccer and wouldn't go :)  But she did make one of them, and still says she doesn't like it.  So maybe that is the end of our structured soccer lessons. :)  She is excited for summer though to take T-Ball, tumbling, and ballet again!  We can't wait!
