A Luau Parade!!

This weekend is our towns big annual celebration.  They call it "Governor Days" and there are parades, lots of food vendors, a carnival, tons of events throughout the town, and fireworks.  The event kicked off Thursday night with the kiddie parade.  Kids of all ages get to dress up and be the stars in the parade.  Isabelle decided she wanted to dress up as Lilo, and have Lilo and Stitch ride with her in her wagon.  She also said she wanted to decorate it "beachy", so we found some cute Luau decorations and we were all set!  Avrey even got a flower lei necklace on her stroller. :)

While waiting to start walking in the parade the people in charge came up to Isabelle and told her that she won first place for dressing up!  They said she was so cute and had lots of cute decorations on her wagon and therefore she won first place! She got a gift card to Cherry Berry (one of her favorites!) and already went and used part of it today!  Good job Isabelle (and Avrey!) :)

We had a great time and it was so fun to see Isabelle so excited!  We have a fun weekend of parades, ice cream socials, carnivals, and fireworks ahead of us!

Little Tumbler

Today Isabelle started a beginners tumbling class.  She was beyond excited for it and absolutely LOVED it!!! I love that they have the kids do the class without the parents in the room and then we get to come in at the end for a viewing of what they learned.  Isabelle has taken basketball and soccer before and somewhat liked those, but tumbling she is in love with.  It was so neat to see her so excited, happy, and proud of herself.  She did amazing and let the teachers help her, followed instructions great, and did her little routine great!  We are so proud of her!

Isabelle loved it so much we already signed her up for the advanced 3-4 year old class that starts after this one ends in July!  I am so happy she found something she is so happy, excited, and passionate about! :)  She was already asking to go back tomorrow! (Although we have to wait till next Tuesday!)  I am sure there will be lots of practicing at home!  We love you Isabelle Ann!

2 Months!!

Avrey Ann, how is it possible that she is 2 months old today!!!???  While it seems she has been a part of our family all along, and seems ages ago we were in the hospital having her, she is growing up way too fast.  Two months has gone by in the blink of an eye and I have truly tried to make sure I am treasuring each and every moment with her.  She is full of smiles and the most easy going baby we could imagine.  She rarely cries, unless to tell us she is hungry or tired, and even then its only for a matter of minutes before she is smiling again.  We truly could not ask for a better baby! 

At 2 months here is what Avrey is up to:  Eating about 4-5oz every 4 hours during the day and waking up only once at night to eat.  She loves, loves, loves her sleep and likes to nap in her crib, the car, or stroller.  While she is such a great sleeper, she is starting to have much longer awake periods in the afternoon.  Avrey is still able to roll over from her tummy to her back, and usually does this several times a week.  She is so strong and determined! She loves cuddling, hugs, being sung too, watching Isabelle do anything, being read to, sitting up-right and observing everything around her, and smiling. I just cannot get enough of her and we love her more and more each day.

This is her pouty face....she loves to stick her bottom lip out if something isn't just quite right.  For example, mommy taking too many pictures in the morning rather then picking her up right away. :)

A Day at the Zoo

Today we spent the day at the Blank Park Zoo.  My parents came down to go with us and we had a great time.  Isabelle loved it of course and Avrey slept the majority of the time. :)  I hadn't charged our camera battery since last weekend so unfortunately the camera didn't last too long.  I did manage to get quite a few pictures though!  Enjoy!

Isabelle also enjoyed a carousel ride, a train ride with grandma and daddy, and playing in the zoo playground for a long time!  Her and Avrey also got gifts in the gift shop thanks to grandma and grandpa. :)  Thanks for taking us to the zoo mom and dad! We had a great Saturday!
