A Morning with Cousins

Isabelle and I spent her Friday morning doing one of her favorite things.  Playing with her cousins.  My sister didn't work today and Ava doesn't have preschool until the afternoon so the whole morning was spent playing!  They had so much fun!

Grandma came down too and bought us all lunch. Thank you!

After a fun morning and lunch, Isabelle and I headed home where she once again took a very long nap! What a fun start to our Friday, the morning was!

A BIG Surprise!

Before I get writing on the big surprise, the two pictures below are from yesterday.  Isabelle and I went to an early Mother's Day party at a local library.  They had stories, songs, a puppet show, and a craft.  She loves going to these little classes and I love taking her!

Now on to the BIG surprise.  Kevin and I got something for Isabelle and shockingly kept it a secret from her.  Even today while the installers were working for 7 1/2 hours in the backyard, she had no idea.  (Luckily she took a 3 hour nap which did help a little!)  And lucky for her the installation date had been set for today...her 2 1/2 year Birthday! :) When Isabelle woke up we went outside to play as usual. 

And what did our little girl see as she walked into the backyard?

It caused her to just stare in shock!

A new swing set!!  She was quickly outgrowing her other one (which is sadly now for sale) so after much looking around and research she got her this one.  It comes with a glider swing, toddler swing, two regular swings, a tire swing, rope ladder, rock wall, ladder, ships wheel, binoculars, and a rocket slide.  She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES it!

She loved it so much that we let her stay up later then normal (sleeping until 4:30 helped too!).  We know this swing set will bring Isabelle many, many years of enjoyment, fun, and memories.  We love you Isabelle! 

Happy May Day!!

Happy May Day!!! Isabelle said those words over and over and over today! She was so excited to celebrate May Day! We made adorable little May baskets that look like wagons.  We filled those with candy and handed them out to her friends.  She loved it!

Isabelle received 3 May baskets all before lunchtime!  One from Grandma and Grandpa V, one from her friend Max, and one from mommy and daddy.  I snuck outside while she was playing this morning and put one on the front porch. :) It contained Toy Story stickers, Princess stickers, a Disney animals coloring book, chips, and teddy grahams. :) She sure was surprised when I told her there was a May Day basket on the front porch!

We then had a picnic lunch outside! 

Isabelle then took a long nap.  And by long, I mean I went in her room at 4:10 to wake her up she was sleeping so hard!

The May Day fun continued with playing outside and a long wagon ride!  She loves looking for these two puppies that live down the street.  She calls them the "mommy and baby puppies" and gets very concerned if they aren't both outside to greet her! :)

Once we got home from her wagon ride she received another May basket from her neighbor friend! She was so happy!

Plus there were two more (courtesy of daddy's work) left on the front porch for her.

Isabelle's May Day sure brought her lots of smiles (and candy)!
