A Beachy BBQ

Today we went up to my parents for a "delayed Memorial Day BBQ" which actually turned out to be a beach/Florida/Disney themed BBQ!  My parents, my sisters family, Aunt Barbie, and my Uncle Dave T were all there for the festivities.  Isabelle had a wonderful time and absolutely loves playing with her cousins!!!!  The food was great, the decorations great, and the company even better!

Before we went to Ames, Isabelle played outside at home for a bit before lunch

She searched all over the Mr. Toad.  There is a toad that lives in her little play area and she was looking everywhere trying to find it!

After her nap we went to my parents and Isabelle got right into her swimsuit and joined in all the fun!

My Aunt Barbie brought this inflatable palm tree! It was so cute and she can't wait to put it up at their house when they move to Florida in a couple years!

Checking out Princess Ariel on Ava's suit

Isaiah and Isabelle.....how cute are they??!!!

So relaxing....

Playtime in the toy room before dinner.

This is Isabelle's "hard working" face......this truck was very heavy.

One last picture before we left.....

What a perfect Sunday!  And the great news is Kevin has tomorrow off too so Isabelle gets her daddy for yet another full day!  Hope you all had a great weekend!

19 Months!!!!

19 MONTHS! Where on earth has the time gone?  Our little girl is getting so big and continues to grow up right before our eyes.  She is full of more love, hugs, kisses, and cuddles then ever and truly is the sweetest thing in the world.

I thought I would just write some words to describe Isabelle at 19 months. :)
Smiley, hugging, loves animals, saying new words and phrases everyday (today's was "I tired" while rubbing her eyes), outdoorsy, extremely picky eater, great sleeper, beautiful, silly, loves play dates, kiss-giver, somersaulting, loves holding daddy's hand, loves having mommy in sight at all times, must have her way, hard worker, sharing, giving, goofball, sweetheart, daddy's little princess, mommy's little angel, loves stuffed animals, praying, sweet tooth, chocolate lover, best thing that ever happened to Kevin and I.

(These pictures are from yesterday during one of Kevin's days off)

Happy 19 Month Birthday Munchkin!!! We love you more then anything!!!!!!

Happy Retirement Dad!!

Happy Retirement Dad!  My dad (and mom) are officially retired as of Tuesday since that was the last day of school for Ames.  My dad's retirement party was this evening and we went up to celebrate!  Kevin luckily has had the past two days off since he had unused vacation days to use before his new job, so he was able to enjoy some daddy-daughter time and go to the party with us.  My Aunt Barbie (my dad's sister), drove in from Indiana for the celebration and will be here for the weekend, so it was great to see her as well!
Enjoy the pictures from the party!

At grandma and grandpa's before the party....playing with one of my old bears.

Isabelle was so excited there was a playground outside!  She literally about jumped out of her car seat in excitement when she saw it.

Happy Retirement dad!

Dance Recital Time!

Anyone who has ever taken dance knows the excitement around this time of year.....its Dance Recital Time!!!  I took dance from ages 3-17 and loved it (for the most part).  Our niece Ava started ballet this past year and had her first recital this week!  Isabelle and I went up for the dress rehearsal tonight.  Before we went to the recital, we stopped by my sister's house for a little cousin play time (and Jackson playtime) :)

Hanging out with Isaiah in the house.

Time to go in a for a quick dinner.

Ava all dressed up and ready to go.....doesn't she look old!!?? (and exactly like my sister at that age!)

During the rehearsal waiting for Ava to come on stage.

Elly is always in her mouth!

Anxiously awaiting to watch cousin Ava.

Ava is the second one over...and the best dancer. :)

Great job tonight Ava!  We loved watching you!  In fact Isabelle cried as we were leaving and kept pointing back.  Poor thing.  And yes, I will be signing her up for dance in a couple years. :)
