The Great Outdoors

Isabelle and I spent all afternoon in the great outdoors.  Okay, maybe not the great outdoors, but our backyard and neighborhood!  It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and Isabelle made sure she did about everything she could outside today.  Enjoy the pictures!

On 1 of 2 wagon rides we took today.

Playing in the backyard, picking grass, and collecting leaves.

Time to swing!

Isabelle had lots of fun throwing her ball back and forth with mommy.

This may be her new favorite thing to do.....she LOVES going down the slide all by herself.  She will sit at the top holding on and then let go when she is ready, smiling the whole way down.

Time to play in the little house.

Run! Run! Run!

Time for a tricycle ride around the bike path.

She got tired of her tricycle and decided it would be more fun to push it home. :)

We had a great day outdoors today and are looking forward to the 60's we are suppose to be getting next week!  Spring can't come soon enough!

A New (disliked very much) Hat and Superwomen

Today at Isabelle's Praise and Play class it was also craft day.  The craft today I thought would be perfect for Isabelle.  It was a little St. Patrick's Day hat.  Very similar to the Mickey Mouse one we made her.  Isabelle colored on the hat while I put the rest of it together.  However she absolutely refuses to wear it.  I pretty much forced it on her head just to get a couple pictures but it quickly got thrown off into a corner.  I guess we won't be wearing it ever again.  Funny though, since she loves to wear her Mickey Mouse one around all the time.
Here are the few pictures I did get....

Isabelle is also very, very strong.  While playing in the basement she decided to move her very big easel all the way across the room by herself.  Maybe she just didn't like where it was located. :)
Our superwomen hard at work....

We are very much looking forward to the weather tomorrow.  It is suppose to be 57 and sunny which means most of our afternoon will be spent happily playing outside!

Messy Messy to All Clean

I knew Isabelle was going to get very messy tonight at dinner so she ate in her diaper to save some clothes:)  She was eating one of her favorites.  Five cheese garlic texas toast, beef ravioli in tomato sauce (green beans and cottage cheese too, but those did not really get ate), and chocolate ice cream for dessert.   She loves Italian foods and although she can be a very picky eater, tonight she literally stuffed the food in her mouth so fast.  I didn't think it was possible to get this messy though.  The most amazing thing about this?  The floor literally did not have a speck of food on it.

"What? I didn't make this mess" :)

After dinner Isabelle went straight in to the bathtub as she usually does.  After her bath, she was very happy to find the Walt Disney World trip countdown we made this afternoon hanging on the fridge.  We cut up one of our old shopping bags we got down there in December and taped it to construction paper.  We then covered it with clear tape so we can write in crayon the countdown on it!

Look how long her hair is getting!!!

Only 202 days to go!

Heading back upstairs....

Time to read books and then go to sleep!

Sweet dreams munchkin!

First Happy Meal....

I finally caved. I got Isabelle her first happy meal today.  We are in desperate need of a trip to the grocery store this weekend and with a McDonald's literally 60 seconds from our house I got her one for dinner.  She has had fries before of other people's plates but never a actual happy meal.   How did it go over?  Fries....Yummy.  Cheeseburger....not so much. (I should have got the chicken nuggets)  She would not eat the bun and picked at the hamburger so probably ate about 1/3 of the hamburger.  I made some corn too and she didn't want that either.  So her dinner consisted of fries, some hamburger, a slice of cheese from the fridge, applesauce and a chocolate chip cookie.  Not the most healthy meal I admit.

Checking out her dinner.....she is probably one of the pickiest eaters I know.  Next to me of course. :)

Loves the french fries.

I love the look of disgust on her face here as she picks the cheeseburger apart....maybe a future vegetarian on our hands like mommy? :)

All done and very happy when I told her she could have a cookie.  Along with being a picky eater she is also very, very messy. :)

Our weekend will definitely consist of a trip to the grocery store for some more healthy options :)  Happy Friday!

16 Months!!!

Happy 16 Months to Isabelle Ann!!!  Every month seems to go faster then the previous one.  She is such a big girl now and growing up right before our eyes.  Here is a glimpse of Isabelle at 16 months.

Isabelle loves to run around.  It is very hard to get a picture of her just sitting still anymore.  She is very active and loves to play with her toys, balls, stuffed animals, kitchen, and still loves coloring and stickers.  She loves to dance, clap her hands, stomp her feet, and march around.  Her favorite thing to do is to play outside.  She loves playing on her swing set and going in the little fort underneath it.  She really loves going down the slide by herself and still loves swinging.  She also loves to run around the yard and pick up leaves, look for dogs out on walks, go on wagon rides, tricycle rides, kicking or throwing her balls around the yard and just being outside in general!

Wishing it was warmer so she could go play.....(actually she was watching the mailman very closely)

Isabelle loves her sleep.  She is usually sound asleep in bed by 7:15 at night and sleeps for 12 or more hours.  Her naps are usually still right around 2 - 2 1/2 hours after lunch.  She has to have mommy put her to bed and down for her naps.  If daddy tries she will just skip her nap altogether. :)  It works out well at nights since she is in bed before Kevin gets home from work, although daddy doesn't like missing her evenings.  :(

Car, Duck, Cat, and Teddy (for bear) are some of the most recent new words Isabelle has said.  Simba is no longer "Si" or "Sim".  She just points to him and says "cat" over and over.  It's so adorable.

Isabelle is a little girl full of smiles and kisses.  She loves to laugh and love giving kisses.  However, she does not like having things taken away from her and really, really does not like being told no.  Her little personality is definitely starting to come through.  She is such a happy, smiley girl who has to have her way.  (Wonder where she could have got that from? :)  She loves to play with other's once she is warmed up.  She tends to stick very close to my side when we get around other people but after 20-30 minutes she will interact much more and run around and play.

Her favorite food?  Chocolate chip cookies.  Especially the ones I make her at home.  She LOVES them, almost more then she loves Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

It's amazing how much Isabelle has changed in 16 months, even more amazing how much she seems to be changing daily.  Everyday is a constant reminder to us that she is growing up so quickly and to treasure each and every moment with her.  We can't wait to watch her continue to grow and learn. We LOVE you Isabelle!

V is for Vacation

V is for Vacation......that was the theme in Isabelle's Toddler Time class today.

Here is Isabelle before Toddler Time....

After Toddler Time with her books she checked out, of course she found one about hippos.  She LOVES hippos!

This was the suitcase Isabelle made in class today......she put stickers on the inside with a swimsuit, camera, books, etc, colored the inside, and mommy drew Mickey ears as souvenirs

Playing with Cinderella's castle

Today's class was perfect for Isabelle.  As I mentioned in a previous blog we are going back to Disney World at the end of  May 2012 for 11 days.  My parents are taking us on that trip again with my sister's family.  We cannot wait for that!  Actually we cannot wait so much that Kevin, Isabelle and I are going to Disney World this September!!  Yes that is correct, we booked a trip for the 3 of us for 6 days.  We will be staying at Disney's All Star Music Resort Sept 25th-Sept 30th!  We stayed at All Star Movies in December and next year we are staying at Pop Century Resort so we decided on Music this time!  We wanted to go so bad, and all the signs were pointing us in the direction to go.  September is one of the least crowded times in Disney since school is back in session, the weather will be perfect, we got an amazing deal on the resort with the promotion Disney is having that time, and according to my "Official Guide to Walt Disney World" book....August and September and the best times to take kids age preschool and under.  Apparently "Toddlers rule the World" these months and they have special events planned for that age during that time.  Also we are going to hopefully get tickets to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party that starts the end of September!
We cannot wait!  :)
