Down to One

Nap time sure has changed around here.  Isabelle has now gone from her two naps a day down to one.  She always took her morning nap great but lately had been refusing her afternoon nap which then caused her to be up from about noon until bedtime....too long for her!  So we have her down to one nap a day now, after lunch.  We pushed lunch time up about an hour and try to keep her very busy in the mornings so she doesn't get too tired. (However no far car rides cause she will fall right asleep!)  So far, so good.  Plus she has been going to bed earlier too, she now gets her bath at about 6:30 and has lights out at 7:00 and is sound asleep by 7:15.  She still sleeps until about 8:00am too!  Here are two pictures of our little angel sleeping today during nap time.

After dinner tonight, Isabelle had her friend Adeline (and my friend Jill) over to play. :)  It is always so cute to watch them interact with one another.

Ice Cream, Ice Cream, Ice Cream

This little girl LOVES LOVES LOVES her chocolate ice cream.   Yes it is below zero outside and we have a foot of fresh snow on the ground but chocolate ice cream is always good!  As soon as I say "ice cream" Isabelle stares at the freezer and starts reaching towards it.  When her spoon is empty she hands it back to me for more.  I suppose a little chocolate ice cream (in moderation) never hurt anyone. :)

Even More Library Fun!

Today after lunch we all went back to the library so Isabelle could show daddy all the fun she had the other day.  Luckily, again, we were the only ones there in the childrens area so we had it all to ourselves!  She had lots of fun looking at books, playing puzzles, riding the horse again and running around.  We checked out a couple more movies for her to "watch".  Another Pooh movie and Lady and the Tramp.  Enjoy the pictures!

Just a Few Pictures....

We had a very relaxing day around here today.  Nothing too exciting to report, just the usual playing and a trip out in the freezing cold to Walmart for some diapers and a few groceries.  I did manage to get a couple pictures of Isabelle playing today though.  She is just so adorable.

We have a nice relaxing weekend ahead of us too....I think it may include a trip back to the library so Isabelle can show daddy how much fun she had the other day!  Happy Friday!

Library Fun

Today after lunch, Isabelle and I headed over to the Grimes Public Library.  I have been there before with her, but those trips were more running quickly in and out.  This trip was just for Isabelle though!  They have a great little section of the library devoted just to children and we had the whole place to ourselves!  She loved looking at everything there and had so much fun playing!  I think we will make this a regular outing, and actually will be joining the toddler story and craft time the library holds on Wednesday mornings!  She will love it!  Enjoy the pictures from today!

14 Months!!!!

Happy 14 Month Birthday to Isabelle!!! Where on earth does the time go?  I probably sound like a broken record but Kevin and I truly cannot believe our little girl is 14 months! She is growing up right before our eyes.  Since Isabelle still seems to be recovering from the flu some, I took some very quick pictures today so they are pretty random. :)  Here is what our little girl is up to at 14 months....

Hugs and Kisses:  Isabelle still  loves giving mommy and daddy hugs and kisses, we will never grow tired of her kisses.  She also loves giving pretty much any stuffed animal or doll a big kiss too.  (Or anything that has a picture of Mickey or Minnie Mouse on it)

Sleeping:  Isabelle sleeps more now then she ever has.  She sleeps for about 12 straight hours at night, waking up around 8:00 or 8:15 am.  She also still takes her two very long naps during the day for a total of another 4-5 hours of sleep during the day.  She LOVES her sleep and can't seem to get enough of it.

Playing:  Isabelle loves to play!  Her current favorites include putting as many stuffed animals or dolls as she can onto her car or trike and pushing them around.  She also loves to carry as many things in her hand as she can at once or putting as many toys as she can into containers.  She loves playing with her Little People house, her kitchen and kitchen accessories, loves her two new dolls, her doctor kits, her pillow pets, stickers, Dance Star Mickey, her zuzu pet,  loves knocking over big towers of mega blocks, loves being read to (especially any Sandra Boynton book that contains a hippo!), loves watching movies and her favorites include Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episodes.  It is so much fun to play with her and so exciting for us to see her starting more and more "pretend play" with her toys.

Favorite foods:  Her current favorite foods include: chicken nuggets, baked potatoes, oranges, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries, bananas, cherries (yes she loves fruit still!), meatballs with pizza sauce, mac and cheese, homemade cheese pizzas, grilled cheese, yogurt, ice cream, vanilla waffers, and cookies (when she gets them that is!)

On the go:  Isabelle is always on the go.  She loves to walk (or should I say run) everywhere.  When we run errands she prefers to walk through the stores rather then ride in a shopping cart or stroller or be carried.  She also loves to dance to music whether on the radio or in a movie and it is so adorable to watch!  With all the moving around she does, it's no wonder she sleeps so much!

  

 

So many teeth: Isabelle still has 11 teeth.  Four on bottom, four on top and three molars.  I think she may be working on molar number four as well!

Isabelle you continue to be the biggest blessing to your daddy and I.  We cherish each and every moment that we have with you.  You lighten up our days and bring more happiness to our world then we ever dreamed was possible.
