Happy 1st Birthday Isabelle!!!

Happy 1st Birthday to Isabelle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Kevin and I cannot believe she is one year old.  She is now a toddler.  As I type this my eyes are filling up with tears.  I am so incredibly proud of my daughter.  She is our pride and joy.  She has grown so much in the past year.  It's strange to look back and think one year ago she barely had her eyes open and was squinting as she looked around the hospital room.  And today....she is walking (or should I say running) all over the place, talking up a storm, learning more and more everyday.  I will never, ever forget the night she was born.  22 hours of labor, and a c-section later, Isabelle made her entrance into this big world.  We have loved her more and more with every passing minute.  I don't know how it is possible that everytime I see her, she steals my heart all over again.  I love her more then I will ever be able to begin to describe.
We had a perfect day with our little princess today.  Kevin had the day off of work and we spent the whole day together as a family.  Just as it should be.  Isabelle's big family birthday party is this Sunday, and we can't wait for that.  But today was perfect with just us.
Here is a glimpse (okay a BIG glimpse since we took tons of pictures) into Isabelle's First Birthday!

While Isabelle slept last night.......

We got the house ready for her big day!  Daddy put streamers up all over the house in low places so she could have fun tearing them down!

Her presents!  We LOVE this chair! And her name is on it!

The birthday girl woke up like normal at 8am....happy and ready to start the special day!

She enjoyed a good breakfast of french toast, scrambled eggs with cheese and strawberries!

After breakfast....present time!  She was excited to see her chair!

A birthday gift from brother Simba!  A musical keyboard that records, shaped like an orange cat!

Three new books.....

  A new cabbage patch....

A magnetic farm fridge set that talks and sings!

"I don't have time for a picture daddy....I want to play with my new toys!" :)

After all that playing, it was time for a nice, cozy nap!

Simba enjoyed her toys while she napped.

After her nap, it was time for lunch at TGIFridays!  We had a coupon for a free meal so we put it to use!  Isabelle got the kids mac and cheese.  She ate part of that, a hamburger bun, a mixed fruit cup, some of mommy's mozzeralla cheese sticks, and some gerber cookies!

She even got free ice cream since it was her birthday!  She had never had ice cream before until this and wasn't too excited about trying it.  She ended up liking the ice cream but still isn't too fond of being spoon fed.  Miss Independent eater!

After lunch, we headed to the mall.  Isabelle got a new pair of Gap jeans with a 40% off coupon! (Mommy LOVES coupons!).  It was then time to come home for a snack.  She would not let go of daddy's wallet!

After another nap and some playtime it was time for dinner.  Isabelle's favorite...homemade cheese pizza! With meatballs and green beans!

The birthday girl!

My attempt at a homemade cake.  Strawberry cake with vanilla frosting.  The writing and decorating was not so great, but it was made with love! Good thing we ordered a very nice cake for her party on Sunday!

The first bite of birthday cake!!!!

  She LOVED the frosting!

After the big sticky mess from the cake, I gave her an early bath.  (Notice the cake in her hair!?) :)

Then some more playtime before bed!  She also got a new Minnie Mouse dvd that came with four shows! She watched that while she climbed in her chair,

I LOVE YOU ISABELLE!!!! Thank you for making my world complete.

Happy Birthday first birthday my love.  We love you, always and forever.

Christmas Is Coming.....

Our house is all decorated for Christmas! Yes, I stayed up past midnight to finish it all on Saturday and it was well worth it. I LOVE having the house all decorated for the holidays and so does Kevin. Isabelle seems pretty interested in all the new decorations and is very interested in the 4 foot snowman. We still need to finish the outside garland and lights and put the Christmas tree up but other then that we are done! Happy Early Holidays! At the request of some I have included a couple pictures of the decorations! Maybe this will inspire others to start decorating too!

End table in the basement...there are one of these candles on both end tables

Computer desk in the basement....2 snowman, red berries, and HoHoHo sign!

Kitchen table.  Love these deer and tree from pottery barn I got for 75% off one year! Also the dishes are from our holiday snowflake set

Little snowman with christmas tree that lights up from a craft fair

This is a cookie sheet that was painted and hangs on the kitchen wall

Mantle and all four stockings! The sign says "Home for the Holidays."  One of my favorites...from a craft fair also!

Corner by the front door.  Isabelle loves the snowman.  I love the snowman picture and the wreath that I got for 90% off at Target last year!

Staircase....and of course another snowman!  I love snowman things!

Window on the staircase landing

Christmas pillows on each couch

Snowman jar with clay snowflakes inside.

Okay, I thought I didn't take that many pictures, but apparently I did.  Hope this put you in the mood for the holidays!
